Just a few short years ago a nifty little tool called the $7 Secrets script was released by Jon Leger. This little script enabled adventurous internet entrepreneurs to sell their products, and enlist affiliates to help. It literally caused a sea change to the way internet marketing was done. I used it myself, and was mostly pleased with it.

There were, however, several things that I thought were “missing” in the $7 Secrets script. I found out, via a support forum, that I was not alone in that opinion. One of those other folks, Sid Hale, said he was going to make a better system, and I contacted him for more information. The rest, as they say, was history in the making…

As best I can remember, Rapid Action Profits (we generally call the script RAP) was initially offered to the public at a $67.00 price point. Sid Hale, who created RAP, continued to improve on the core of RAP, and a major update was released (free to previous purchasers). At that time, the price went up to $127.00! Still, it was a tremendous value, even at that price.

As the weeks, and months went by, more and more people purchased RAP, and Sid continued to improve it. One of the improvements he made was the ability to have other developers integrate with RAP to add further functionality. These developers, with Sid, created what are now referred as Certified AddOns. One of these AddOns made it possible to use RAP to operate membership sites!

Today, thousands (with even more individual sites each) of people are using RAP to generate sizable streams of income by selling information products in a wide variety of market niches. There are more than a few, who through diligent effort, grew their business large enough to actually quit working for someone else, and became their own boss.

There are some “limitations” though, to what the “core” Rapid Action Profits script can do. By itself, it’s not real good at membership site management. There’s an ADDON for that… It’s not built to handle timed payments real well, there’s an ADDON for that…

Something else though, and this one’s a biggie, setting up REMOTE locations for your BUY NOW buttons, and redirecting potential customer to those locations when those customers are sent to your RAP sales page url, while still being able to have affiliates promote, and make money from promoting, your products.

There’s an ADDON to the Rapid Action Profits script that allows you to do that, right from the RAP admin panel. It’s called the ADD TO CART AddOn, and it creates a Dynamic Add-To-Cart button for RAP that creates urgency because it provides a limited time vs price range, it creates scarcity and urgency by limiting the quantity vs the price because it dynamically updates the quantity available at the current price.  And since it updates the quantity and price when a sale is made, it provides the social proof.

You can setup a range of copies and prices so that the price automatically changes as sales are made.

Now, here is the best part.  Most would think that since it is a RAP addon that it only works on the RAP sales pages.  But….  It works anywhere.  Yes you can place it on a RAP sales page if you want but it is an image so it can be placed in forums, blogs, emails and other web pages that allow you to paste in a little html image.  In fact, the original concept for this addon came from someone wanting to use it to post Warrior Special Offers in the Warrior Forums.

This new addon changes how the RAP game works by expanding the possibilities beyond the confines of the server running your RAP site! Besides doing those things above, which is quite powerful, in and of itself. This ADDON has built-in support for “Belcher” buttons! If you’ve never heard of the Belcher button, it’s an “add to cart” graphic that has been PROVEN to increase conversions. WOW! And the ADD TO CART AddOn has it built-in. That Rocks!

David Schwartz has just put the final touches on an AWESOME patching utility for Rapid Action Profits users! This utility will SAVE YOU TIME when Sid Hale releases updates and upgrades (free for owners of RAP) to the Rapid Action Profits script.

There are some great new features.  For instance…

Significant new security enhancements include:

1. The Site Administrator receives an email to alert the owner of a possible “hack” EVERY time the install.php script is run, or when “System Settings” are changed, or Equity Partners are added/changed.

2. The Add On architecture has been modified to eliminate the potential of Admin Functions being invoked UNLESS the Admin User is logged in.

3. Instant Payment Notification (IPN) processing was modified to catch additional fraud attempts.

1. An RSS feed is now created automatically for all of your RAP products that are NOT in test mode, and have NOT been disabled.

2. Implement a Pre-Launch strategy with a series of multiple pre-launch sales letters, that expire according to your schedule.  Each of a series of pre-launch pages will be shown in sequence, until they are all expired, at which time the system will begin showing the normal sales page(s).

3. Separate Auto Opt-in for your back-end offer (Special Offer or OTO) has been provided, in order to segregate buyers of your special offer into a separate list.

4. RAP now provides for an Unlimited number of Equity Partners for each product. Existing Equity Partners are automatically converted to the new functionality during the upgrade process.

5. New option in Product set up allows the ability to require that Affiliates/JV Partners be registered in the system, disallowing non-registered promoters from profiting on sales of your products.

6. The Affiliate Center now allows affiliates to see a list of customers they have referred, as well as a list of their downline affiliates.

7. New Mailer options allow you to use either normal PHP Mail, or the new SMTP mail feature, and for selection of plain text or HTML emails.

8. Default Sender Name & email address can now be set individually for each type of System Email (by product), and for each Broadcast Mail source.

Right now, upgrades to the Rapid Action Profits script system are FREE. Support for RAP, via the active forum, and through the helpdesk, is also FREE. It has been discussed, that maybe sometime in the future, an upgrade fee may be charged for purchasers of RAP after a certain date. Details about this upgrade charge are sketchy, and may not apply to people who have already bought RAP.

Rapid Action Profits (aka RAP) is installed by uploading it to your hosting account, and then completing a short series of steps. The instructions for installing RAP are explained in a user manual that is easy to understand. Once you have completed your installation, you’ll want to add a product for sale, right? Inside the Rapid Action Profits administration panel (which you’ll have seen upon installation) is a section where you add products for sale. It is within this section that you set pricing, affiliate percentages, and several other options.

Inside the RAP admin area is where you setup how much you want to sell your product for. This can be advantageous for a couple of reasons. You may be considering a limited time “launch” of your ebook (or whatever other digital product) at a special “launch” price. You could set a higher price at the conclusion of the “launch” and perhaps offer a “coupon discount” to affiliates promoting your product.

One time offers management, aka OTO’s, are another excellent Rapid Action Profits benefit. You’ve made a sale of your product, and while your customer is in a buying mood, you can display an upsell for a related product. With this option available, you could actually offer the “front-end” product at a significantly lower price, and then use the OTO to grow your profits by having the related product at a higher (or lower, your choice) price.

List building functionality is built into the RAP system as well. RAP integrates with most all autoresponder systems, including aweber, getresponse, and parabots. You have the choice to allow your customer to choose to opt-in to your list, or you can do this automatically with RAP’s automatic opt-in feature. This uses the Paypal email address of the customer and automatically submits it to your autoresponder service.

Managing affiliates is another important part of the Rapid Action Profits sales system. With this feature, instead of your affiliates waiting “forever” for their payments like other programs make them do, they get PAID INSTANTLY into their Paypal account with each qualifying sale. You set the percentages, and with every affiliate sale money is made!
